NEW - ACTION ALERT: SULLIVAN
FOR SENATE CAMPAIGN CHIDES THE IDAHO STATESMAN AND CHALLENGES CITIZENS TO ASSERT
THEIR RIGHT-TO-KNOW
October 21, 2010
The Tom Sullivan for Senate Campaign asks Idahoans: “Do You Have A Right To Know? Isn’t the role of the Press in a Free Society to inform citizens? Don’t you think that knowing the person who may represent Idaho in the US Senate is important and should be reported by the press?”
“The Idaho Statesman answered NO,” charged Sullivan. “To The Statesman, two major debates for the US Senate is not news. Well, I’ve got news for The Statesman,” said candidate Sullivan, “the public believes that our differences on the most important issues of the day is news.” The Statesman has not covered facts or positions taken by the candidates in the debates. - Read more and Take Action

NEW - CRAPO SHIPS JOBS OVERSEAS -
KLEW TV in Lewiston
October 12, 2010
Democrat Tom Sullivan is running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Republican
Mike Crapo. Sullivan has been doing a lot of traveling and said he has passed
through Lewiston a number of times during those travels. He stopped by KLEW
studios late last week for an interview and was quick to get to the point of why
he's running.
"Mike Crapo sits on the Senate Finance Committee, Senate
Banking Committee, Senate Board of International Competitiveness," said
Sullivan. "He continually ships jobs overseas. He continually votes against the
American workers and I think it's time to ask him why he's doing that. Why has
he presided over ten trillion dollars worth of debt without standing up to the
plate? He calls himself a fiscal conservative, but he doesn't do anything about
it. I think it's time to bring jobs back to America and ask him why he won't
step up to the plate." -

Examiner Editorial: Get Government Motors
out of politics
October 1, 2010
Although American employees of General Motors have every right to participate fully in the political process, it is highly inappropriate for this government-owned company to begin currying congressional favor at Americans' expense. Since June 30, the company's PAC has dished out about $90,000 to 51 different politicians. This includes several endangered Democrats (including Reps. John Hall of New York, Rick Boucher of Virginia and Chet Edwards of Texas) and several conservative Republicans (including Sens. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, Mike Crapo of Idaho and Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia).
SENATOR FAILS TO BACK AMERICAN
SMALL BUSINESS
Sullivan: “Mike Crapo is owned by Wall Street”
Friday,
September 17, 2010
Idaho Democrat Tom Sullivan criticized 17-year Washington incumbent Mike Crapo ‘s vote yesterday against legislation meant to bolster small businesses, arguing “The surest way to keep jobs in America is to support small businesses that are the core of America’s entrepreneurial spirit. Mike Crapo voted against it even as some conscious Republicans came together to vote in favor of American small business, realizing that it in these tough economic times America should come before party. Unfortunately, Mike Crapo is owned by Wall Street contributions – his top five contributors for years have included the likes of JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.” (New York Times, NY Times) (Campaign Finance/Money, Open Secrets) - Read more...

NEW - Sen.
Crapo Votes No, then Takes Credit on Stimulus Caught Ribbon Cutting Local
Stimulus Jobs He Opposed
Tuesday, September 14, 2010
With scissors in hand, Senator Crapo has been repeatedly caught ceremoniously cutting ribbons for economic projects in Idaho that he relentlessly fought against in the US Senate. The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment act provided nearly $500,000 for a Health West clinic in Aberdeen, which Mike Crapo twice voted against. (Vote Smart) (Journal Net). That did not seem to stop the Senator on Friday from pandering for votes with the elderly patients who would be without a local clinic if Mike Crapo had his way. Read more...

recently announced national infrastructure funding and is determined to see some
of that money at work in recovering Idaho’s economy. The infrastructure plan
will give the economy a $50 billion boost while building the roads, rails, and
flight navigation systems America needs to compete in the 21st century. The plan
will be paid for by cutting offshore tax loopholes for government subsidized big
oil and gas. (Peoples Word) -
